By creating a GoodTurn account, or by using the platform in any way, you agree to these terms. GoodTurn is operated by RiseGen CIC (“we”, “us”).
2. Who can use GoodTurn
Volunteers must be aged 16 or over. Volunteers aged 16–17 need parental or guardian consent before they can apply for tasks. Residents requesting help, and staff at partner councils or housing associations posting on a resident's behalf, must provide accurate information when creating an account.
3. What GoodTurn is (and isn't)
GoodTurn is a platform that connects volunteers with residents for small, low-risk tasks that don't require a DBS check (see our Safeguarding page). GoodTurn is not an employer of volunteers, is not a care provider, and does not supervise tasks in person. No task requiring entry into a resident's home, or any higher-risk activity, is permitted on the platform.
4. No money between users
No payment, tip, or other transfer of money is permitted between a resident and a volunteer through or because of GoodTurn. Volunteers are not paid for tasks; recognition is provided through the points and rewards system described on the platform.
5. Your conduct
You agree to use GoodTurn respectfully, to keep all communication about a task within the platform, and to report any concerns about safety, conduct or a task itself as soon as they arise. We may suspend or remove any account that breaches these terms or raises a safeguarding concern.
6. Liability

7. Ending your account
You can close your GoodTurn account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, poses a safeguarding risk, or where a partner organisation withdraws a referral.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
