GoodTurn is operated by RiseGen CIC (“we”, “us”). We connect young volunteers with residents nearby who need help with small, everyday tasks, working with councils and housing associations such as your local partner organisation.
2. What data we collect
Depending on your role on GoodTurn, this may include:
- Name, email address and postcode (not full address, unless you're matched to a task)
- Age band and, for 16–17 year olds, parental/guardian consent details
- Task activity: tasks posted, applied for or completed, and messages sent through GoodTurn
- Verification details for organisation accounts (council/housing association staff)
- Basic device and usage data needed to run the service (e.g. for the installable app)
3. How we use it
We use your data to match volunteers and residents for tasks, keep the platform safe (including reviewing safeguarding reports), send task-related notifications, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations to our partner organisations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Your partner organisation (the council or housing association that referred you, where applicable) can see task activity relevant to their residents. A volunteer's exact address is never shared with anyone; a resident's exact address is shared only with the volunteer they're matched with, only after the match is confirmed. We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Children's data
